Meet the Meirose Family!

Hello, and welcome to Majestic Rose Goldendoodles!

We are a small, in-home breeder of amazing Goldendoodles located in Northwest Missouri. My husband, Scott, and I have been married since 2004, and we have been blessed with two amazing boys, Cole and Caleb! In addition to raising puppies, Scott and I are Occupational Therapists, and I am also an online teacher. Our greatest joy in life is being parents! I work from home, which allows me to have more time to care for our children and our fur babies! We love baseball, football, basketball, singing and spending time together as a family. Overall, we are just a normal, active family that loves God, dogs and each other!

I have a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Health Sciences, and a minor in Chemistry. I have always loved animals, especially dogs. For as long as I can remember, my dream was to be a “dog doctor” when I grew up (I couldn’t even say “veterinarian” yet!). This dream never wavered, and throughout high school and undergrad, I was committed to gaining as much education and experience as possible to help in reaching my goal of becoming a veterinarian. I was even accepted into my top choice of veterinary programs! My desire to be a veterinarian was strong, but, unfortunately, so were my allergies. Despite years of taking allergy medications, along with two allergy shots every week, my allergies never really improved. These allergies included dogs, cats, feathers, and so much more, which made it impossible for me to become a vet. My childhood dream was over.

Scott and I both grew up with dogs, and we share a mutual love for them. But, as bad as my allergies to dogs were, Scott’s were even worse. The two outside dogs we each had since before we were married passed away shortly after Cole was born. For the first time in our lives, we were without a dog. That was a busy time in our lives. We were settling into our new home, raising a baby, and Caleb was born just 16 months later! We ended up going years without a dog. Although we were happily married and blessed beyond measure with our babies, it always seemed like something was missing. So, we decided we wanted to get another dog! Since we had each had a Golden Retriever growing up that we loved dearly, that seemed like the obvious choice. But, we had allergies, and so did our boys. Not to mention the fact that Golden Retrievers shed like crazy. We also did not want another dog to have to live outside, so we weren’t sure what to do.

Then came Chief! I had known about Goldendoodles for years, so I decided to do some research to figure out if a Goldendoodle would be a good fit for our family, and it was! Our boys finally had a dog… a house dog!! Chief was a great addition to our family! He is so smart, cute and cuddly, and his temperament is amazing. Even though he loves to lay on our pillows, our allergies don’t bother us, and we also don’t have dog hair everywhere! After getting to know Chief and the Goldendoodle breed even better, we truly fell head-over-heels in love with Goldendoodles! Then it happened… my childhood dream came back for a visit. Maybe I could be a “dog doctor” of sorts after all! This is how my passion for becoming a breeder and sharing these wonderful animals with others was born. After much research into breeding and pedigrees, we found Rosie, our founding Mom. Then, shortly after, Juneau and Logan also joined our family!

My veterinary experiences growing up and my Biology/Health Sciences degree, along with ongoing education and research, have prepared me with the knowledge and understanding of the skills required of being a good, quality breeder, including anatomy, physiology, reproduction, DNA, genetics, wellness, and more. As Occupational Therapists, we also understand the meaning and fulfillment that a pet can bring into a person’s life, as well as the amazing benefit that service and therapy dogs provide to their owners!

As dedicated and ethical breeders, we focus on raising beautiful puppies that are healthy, intelligent, and well-socialized with wonderful temperaments, and as allergy sufferers, it is also a priority that our puppies be allergy-friendly and low to non-shedding. Our dogs and puppies are, first and foremost, beloved family members, and we are committed to their lifelong health and well-being. Our parent dogs come from excellent bloodlines and receive a complete panel of breed-recommended health and genetic testing prior to breeding. Our puppies are hand-raised in our home as a part of our family. They are well-socialized with children and are accustomed to everyday active family life! We strive to place our puppies with wonderful forever families that will provide them with the love and care they deserve.

At Majestic Rose Goldendoodles, we are committed to excellence and we take the breeding and raising of our puppies very seriously. This commitment has earned us the honor of being a certified Gold Ribbon Breeder (formally referred to as Blue Ribbon Breeder) with the Goldendoodle Association of North America (GANA), which is the first and only breed club established for Goldendoodles. Being a Gold Ribbon Breeder means that our parents pass the highest standards of health and genetic testing recommended by GANA prior to breeding, and also that we abide by their Breeder Code of Ethics and Breeder Policies and Guidelines. As members of GANA, we were also able to help in determining the official Goldendoodle Breed Standard, which we strive to meet or exceed with all of our puppies! We have also been recognized by Good Dog as being a Responsible Breeding Program and as having “Excellent” health testing practices, which means that we demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment to prioritizing the health and well-being of our dogs and puppies. We are also Scam Free Certified by TellTail, which means we are a vetted member of the TellTail Breeder Community as being a real breeder with a real program and a verified identity. In other words, we are the real deal!
