If you think you may be interested in a puppy but are not yet ready to complete the application and submit the reservation fee, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

STEP 2 – Apply

The next step in our adoption process is to complete and submit your Puppy Application. We ask each of our families to complete this application in order to get to know them better and to help them in selecting the best puppy for their family. There is a lot of thought and planning that should take place prior to bringing a new puppy home. It is our hope that this application process will also help our families with this necessary planning! By submitting this application, you are NOT being placed on our waiting list, nor are you required to pay the initial reservation fee. It is only after we receive your application, contact you, and approve your application that you can proceed to these next steps. This application should ONLY be submitted by those who are seriously intending to add one of our puppies to their family. Families choose their puppies in order based upon when they submit their application and initial reservation fee. No spot will be held on our Waiting Lists without an approved application and reservation fee* being submitted.

STEP 3 – Talk To Us

After your application is received and reviewed, we will then contact you by e-mail to let you know that we have received it and if it has been approved. This is also a great time to communicate any questions and/or concerns either of us may have before moving forward with the adoption process. If follow-up phone calls and/or Zoom meetings are needed they can be scheduled at any time.

STEP 4 – Join the Master Waiting List

Our Master Waiting List is now permanently CLOSED so please skip to the next step in our adoption process!

We are planning on retiring from breeding in order to have more time for our family so we do not plan on having any additional litters. Therefore, we are closing our Master Waiting List. Please visit our Nursery page for information on the puppies that we still have available.

STEP 5 – Join Our Litter Waiting List

No spot will be held on our Litter Waiting List without an approved application and Reservation Fee being submitted.

If your application is approved and you would like to proceed with the adoption process you will then be asked to submit a non-refundable $500 Reservation Fee in order to be added to our Litter Waiting List (with the remaining balance of $2,500 being due at the time of puppy selections). Since we will not be having any more litters, we will also ask for you to reserve your Snuggle Puppy Pack (optional) at this time to ensure we have enough for everyone who wants one. They are $35.00 each (our discounted cost). Snuggle Puppies help with transitioning puppies to their new homes. Our Snuggle Puppy Packs include one Snuggle Puppy with mom’s and littermates’ scents, one soothing Heartbeat, one heat pack, and 2 AAA batteries. They are optional, but we love them and highly recommend them! Click here to learn more about Snuggle Puppies.

During this step the date for your puppy’s Gotcha Day will be finalized if it hasn’t been already. Please know that specific puppies will not yet be reserved at this point. Puppy selections will take place approximately a week before the puppies go home, after they have had both their temperament evaluations and their eight-week well-check. However, we will ask for you to commit to a specific gender when joining the Litter Waiting List. As breeders, our main concern and priority will always be health and temperament. But, understandably, there are so many families who want either only a male or only a female. Not being able to know for sure which gender(s) will still be available at the time of puppy selections can make things more complicated and stressful, and we don’t want that for our families! At the time of puppy selections, our puppies are chosen based on the order in which families submitted their reservation fee to join our Litter Waiting List, so the sooner you join the better!

STEP 6 – Join our Private Facebook Group

After officially joining our Litter Waiting List you will be invited to join our private Facebook group that is just for our puppy families!

STEP 7 – Plan, Prepare, & Wait!

Probably the most difficult part of the adoption process is waiting for your puppy to join your family, but it will also be a busy time of planning and preparing for your puppy! We will be in frequent contact with you with reminders and tasks that need to be completed to help with finalizing plans for Gotcha Day. It will be very important that you communicate your plans for travel or delivery with us. We will also keep in touch with our families along the way with updates, pictures, and videos of the puppies!

STEP 8 – Choose Your Puppy & Make Your Final Payment(s)

Puppy selections will take place after temperament testing has been completed and the puppies have also had their eight-week well-check. Puppies will be chosen in the order that families joined the Litter Waiting List and based on the gender that they chose to commit to. Results from the temperament testing and well-checks, as well as our observations of the puppies along the way, will be shared with the families to assist them in choosing the puppy that is best suited for them and their needs.

The remaining balance of $2,500 for your puppy, as well as any additional costs for products or services, must be made at the time of puppy selections unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in writing in advance. The only exception is that you can pay the balance in cash on Gotcha Day when receiving your puppy. Please see our Pricing & Payments page for a breakdown of what is included in your purchase.

We raise our puppies in our private family home. Due to health and safety precautions for our puppy families and our own family, diseases that can be harmful or deadly to our dogs and puppies, and wanting to be fair to our many families who do not live locally, we do not allow families to visit prior to their assigned Gotcha Day. Puppy selections may take place via email, phone, video, and/or Zoom. Families will also receive updates, pictures, and videos of the puppies along the way!

While we do our best to predict the outcome of each litter of puppies being born, nature is ultimately in control! We cannot guarantee the coat color, coat markings, coat type, shedding or hypoallergenic properties, exact adult size, timing of heat cycles, success of the breedings, litter sizes, or numbers of males and females being born in each litter. Although some red/apricot Goldendoodles will keep their original color, most of them tend to fade in color over time. Puppies with sable coloring will also usually change in color over time.

We understand that many families have preferences when it comes to coat color, coat type, and gender. However, we also firmly believe that a puppy’s personality and activity level, as well as other possible factors, need to be taken into consideration in order to determine the best compatibility between families and their new family member. That is why we feel it is very important to select puppies after families learn the results of the temperament testing, the eight-week well-check, and our personal observations of the puppies.

We reserve the right at all times to keep puppies from any litter as our Breeder’s Choice puppies. We also reserve the right at all times to prioritize the placement of puppies in a litter who may be suitable for therapy or service work.

STEP 9 – Gotcha Day

The day that everyone has been waiting for is finally here… Gotcha Day! Puppies will be ready to go to their new fur-ever homes when they are approximately nine weeks of age. The specific date will be scheduled and communicated with families well in advance. We are a normal, active family with children and we can also have more than one litter of puppies to care for at a time. Therefore, we ask that you please make every effort to pick your puppy up on your scheduled Gotcha Day as we are typically not able to keep puppies beyond that date. Please see below on this page for information on the options available for delivering and picking up your puppy.

STEP 10 – Keep in Touch

We encourage you to join and participate in our private Facebook group that is just for our puppy families! You are a part of the Majestic Rose family, and we would love to stay connected with you and see our puppies as they learn and grow!

Lifetime Breeder Support & Re-Homing

Our commitment to our puppies and their new families does not end when they leave our home. We consider all of our puppies and their new owners family, and because of that we offer lifetime breeder support and re-homing. We will make every reasonable effort to help you be successful with your puppy throughout its life. That includes consulting or providing resources on things such as health, nutrition, grooming, training, socialization, etc., both on an individual basis as well as in our private Facebook community. It also includes our promise to always be willing to take any of our puppies back throughout their lives at their owner’s request. Although adding a puppy to your family is a big commitment that we urge you to not take lightly, we understand that life happens, and we want to ensure our families that if something should ever happen in their life where they can no longer keep their dog (such as divorce, deployment, change of location, passing away, etc), then we will accept the dog back and either keep him or her ourselves or assist with the re-homing. This is not a financial return or reimbursement on our part as there will be no charge to us for this service, and all travel expenses are the responsibility of the owner.

Options for Delivering or Picking Up Your Puppy

We have several options available for receiving your puppy:

Local Pick-Up: For those of you who live locally, or for those of you who do not live locally and choose to drive, you have the option of picking your puppy up from us at our location on the assigned Gotcha Day. We do have some families who fly here and then rent a car to pick up their puppy from us and drive home, so that is also an option. Picking up your puppy will be done at our home in a curbside manner at an assigned time on your assigned Gotcha Day.

Delivery: For those of you who live within a reasonable driving distance, you may have the option of having us personally deliver your puppy to you. Arrangements would need to be made in advance and deliveries would typically take place on or around your scheduled Gotcha Day, based upon our availability. Depending upon your location a fee may be charged for this service in order to compensate us for our time, mileage, and any other expenses.

Delivery to Kansas City International Airport (MCI): If you do not live locally and plan on flying, we live 38 miles from the Kansas City International Airport (MCI) in Kansas City, MO. We do have some families who fly here and then rent a car to pick up their puppy from us and drive home, so that is an option. However, we realize that renting a car and possibly having to stay one or more nights at a dog-friendly hotel as you travel home is an added burden and expense, and we do not want that for our families. Instead, we want getting your new puppy to be a great experience full of cherished memories! So, in order to accommodate any travelers and to make this process as easy as possible, you have the option of having us personally deliver your puppy directly to you at our local airport. Speaking from experience, this works well as you can often find round trip flights on the same day, and the expense is usually comparable or less than other long-distance delivery options. You will be able to board the plane with your puppy in an airline-approved pet travel bag. He or she will count as a carry-on bag and will be able to stay under the seat in front of you. We can provide additional advice and recommendations for families who choose to fly with their puppies. All arrangements would need to be made with us in advance of booking any flights, and deliveries would typically take place on or around your scheduled Gotcha Day, based upon our availability. There is NO charge for this service! It is essential that you coordinate your travel plans with us. It is also important for you to be aware of the airline’s policies for traveling with puppies prior to booking any flights as not all airlines are pet-friendly. Please also choose an airline that accepts a 10-day Health Certificate. We personally try to fly on Southwest Airlines when traveling with puppies as they seem to be the most pet-friendly.

Flight Nanny or Cargo Shipping: We do not use Flight Nannies because we want to meet our puppy families in person. We will also NEVER ship any of our puppies by themselves in cargo.
