Puppies are born deaf and blind. This week the puppies’ eyes have started to open and they’re also trying really hard to walk! They have had their two-week well-check, and Mom and babies are all doing great!

The puppies’ eyes and ears are now completely open. Their eyes still have a blue tone to them, but this will change to their permanent eye color as they continue developing. Although they are still a little wobbly, they are very mobile with walking and pouncing! They are intentionally interacting with each other more and are starting to show their playful side! They love to wag their tails now, and their little whines have turned into playful yips! They have had their four-week well-check, and Mom and babies are all doing great!

Rosie’s Puppies Playing in Their Holding Pen

The puppies have been doing a lot of growing and learning! They have done a great job of weaning from gruel to mush to soaked kibble, and as their teeth continue to come in they will progress toward eating regular dry kibble. Although they do not yet know the word “sit” they are learning they need to sit in order to get what they want! They are also doing really well with litterbox training… YAY! They play hard and sleep even harder! They are all so sweet! They have all been adopted, and as families name their new fur-babies we will add their forever names below!
